Today is one of those laundry in the oven days ... it's not even 10 am yet! It's always something, but motherhood is worth everything I put into it!
It's Spring Break, so really, this week should be more calm than normal, and I suppose it is. Somehow I still manage to forget why I've walked into a room, forget to thaw something for dinner, etc., etc.
But I really do love being a mother. I think it may be the reason I was put here on Earth. I have four fantastic girls and they are my everything.
One thing I've started doing to let them know just how important they are is to put handmade lunch notes in their lunches every day. Just something to let them know I think of them while they are gone, and that I understand the trials of school, friends, bullies and all the very real anxiety issues that kids deal with today. A simple note from mom is a great way to be there for them without being overly in their faces.
I've created several lunch box note sets. Some completely casual and others more formal looking. It just depends on whether you are looking for whimsy or bright, bold colors.
